The Glashütte Original Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase 1-36-24-04-02-64 debuted in 2025 as part of the brand’s classically styled Senator Excellence collection, emphasizing precision, stability, and refined aesthetics. This reference features a 40mm stainless steel case with a mix of polished and satin-brushed finishes. It is fitted with a robust blue synthetic strap secured by a stainless steel folding clasp. The dial, executed in a distinctive “Frosted Copper” tone, is inspired by the mineral-rich soil of the Ore Mountains surrounding Glashütte. Key elements include the Panorama Date at 4 o’clock and an in-house crafted moon phase display at 10 o’clock, both presented with clarity and depth. Blued hands and applied blue Roman numerals accentuate the watch’s elegant layout. At its heart ticks the Glashütte Original calibre 36-24, an automatic movement with a 4 Hz beat rate and an extended power reserve of 100 hours. The movement features a silicon balance spring and is secured in the case via a bayonet mounting system for improved shock resistance and serviceability. Traditional Glashütte finishing is visible through the sapphire crystal case back, including striping, polished bevels, and a skeletonised rotor with the double-G logo. Each watch is tested for 24 days to meet the brand’s internal Excellence Standard and bears a “Q” mark on the case back to signify its certification.
