The Glashütte Original Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase 1-36-24-04-02-61 debuted in 2025 as a refined execution of the brand’s moon phase complication, distinguished by a handcrafted dial in the shade known as “Frosted Copper.” Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case with polished and satin-brushed surfaces, this reference is paired with a blue Louisiana alligator leather strap secured by a folding clasp. The softly shimmering dial finish is inspired by the mineral-rich Ore Mountains that surround Glashütte, nodding to the region’s centuries-old heritage of craftsmanship. Blue Roman numerals and blued steel hands provide elegant contrast, while the Panorama Date and moon phase display are placed in the lower right and upper left quadrants of the dial respectively. Power comes from the manufacture calibre 36-24, an automatic movement with a silicon balance spring, 4 Hz frequency, and 100-hour power reserve. The movement is secured via an innovative bayonet mounting system that improves both shock resistance and serviceability. Finishing details include Glashütte striping, bevelled edges, and a skeletonised rotor with double-G logo—all visible through the sapphire case back. Every Senator Excellence model undergoes the 24-day Excellence Test, symbolised by a “Q” engraved on the case back.
